Kinsa Health Brand Strategy

As part of a speculative rebrand exploration for Kinsa Health, a health technology company focused on early illness detection, I developed a comprehensive brand strategy that defined how the company communicates its mission and values. The goal was to evolve Kinsa’s perception from a smart thermometer brand to a trusted public health intelligence platform empowering families, schools, and communities to stay ahead of illness.

Grounded in Kinsa’s mission to stop the spread of illness through early insight and action, I built a full strategic foundation for the brand, including audience personas, messaging architecture, voice and tone guidance, and a competitive positioning analysis.

The strategy centered on three core pillars, Real-Time Insight, Actionable Guidance, and Preventative Impact, each laddering up to Kinsa’s role as both a household companion and a public health innovator.

To humanize the brand and visually express its warmth and optimism, I also directed new brand photography that captures authentic, everyday moments of care and connection. These visuals, paired with an approachable voice and a modern design system, reframe Kinsa as a mission-driven health brand that is credible with public health partners and relatable to families.

The result is a cohesive, scalable brand platform that bridges data and empathy, positioning Kinsa as a proactive leader in community wellness and preventive health.
