Clover at SXSW

In 2018, Clover attended the SXSW Tech Conference to boost engineering recruitment.

The team wanted an interactive element to their SXSW presence, something that would help them engage with the conference attendees passing by the booth and explain what Clover was all about.

Clover is a Medicare company with a mission of improving the lives of the senior population it serves. To keep that mission top of mind, I decided to create a booth design that was in itself interactive and would create a connection between the younger SXSW audience and Clover’s elderly members.

The idea was simple, we asked several of Clover’s members “What advice would you give to your younger self?” and received great wisdom such as “Health is more than wealth," “Take advantage of time,” and “Don’t be afraid to be you."

This advice was incorporated onto the printed booth panels and conference attendees were encouraged to add their own advice by writing on stickers they could adhere to the walls.

The engagement was so high that we quickly ran out of stickers and had to coordinate an emergency second run to be printed at a nearby FedEx in Austin.
